Medieval Training
Students that have advanced on to the Medieval Training Program study the earliest Historical European Martial Arts texts from across Europe. Many of these texts were written by famed fencing masters that taught the knights and princes who dominated the medieval battlefield.
Medieval Training begins with a study of the longsword with a focus on fighting unarmoured and armoured opponents. Students then train with the arming sword and buckler following the guidance of the oldest European fighting manuscript which was used to teach monks to fight in the same manner. After the focus switches to the messer and the dagger and finally the sickle of medieval peasants. The last block focuses on the halberd, spear, peasant flail, and peasant staff.
